Business Development Officer

The Business Development Officer is in charge of helping the business development manager find and seize new business possibilities, cultivating and preserving connections with possible customers, and adding to the organization's overall expansion and success. Strong communication and negotiating abilities, a proactive and strategic approach to business development, and in-depth knowledge of PDC’s services.

Responsibilities

Generating Leads and Prospecting

  • Assist on conducting research to find new business prospects as well as possible customers. Use a variety of prospecting strategies to create a steady flow of qualified leads, including cold calling, email outreach, and networking

Client Relationship Management

  • Create and preserve a solid rapport with both current and future customers. Recognize their objectives, problems, and needs before offering specialized solutions that deal with their problems

Proposal and Bid Preparation

  • Work together with cross-functional teams to craft bids and proposals that effectively highlight the company's value proposition and capabilities. Make sure that every proposal complies with the demands of the client and the strategic goals of the business

Negotiation and Contract Management

  • Consult with clients to negotiate contract terms and conditions, making sure to balance the needs of the client with the protection of the company's interests. To preserve good customer relations, oversee the contract lifecycle, including renewals and modifications

Market and Competitor Analysis

  • Keep yourself updated on market dynamics, competition, and industry developments. To assist the business development manager and other stakeholders in making informed strategic decisions, share your knowledge and suggestions.

Reporting and Performance Tracking

  • Maintain that all business development efforts, including pipeline management, lead tracking, and sales KPIs, are accurately documented. Report on a frequent basis to the Business Development Manager and other pertinent parties.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Maintain close collaboration with other divisions, including operations, sales, and marketing, to guarantee a smooth and well-coordinated approach to business development. Participate in the creation and execution of the company's business development plan

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, industrial engineering, marketing or a related field preferred
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in a business development or sales role, preferably in a similar industry
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and negotiate with clients
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform decision-making
  • Adaptable and comfortable with change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
