This year marks the 6th year of Primer International Management Limited (PIML)’s Annual Golf Tournament. Held last February 7 and 8, 2020, PIML welcomed principals, partners, and friends from the Philippines, Singapore, United States of America, United Kingdom, and Japan.

The tournament, which started in 2015, aims to foster the friendships and partnerships of PIML. To elevate the activity further, one of its goals since last year is to give back to the community.

This year, proceeds will go to the Taal Relief and Rebuild Program. Just a month before the tournament, Taal Volcano in Batangas, Philippines actively spewed hot gases and ash, forcing over 30,000 families to flee their homes and leave their livelihood behind. Among those affected is Barangay Alas-as in the Municipality of San Nicolas, Batangas, the community closest to the Taal Volcano crater and an adopted community of Primer Group of Companies.

Tournament proceeds totaled to $ 1,735, which will be used to rebuild the homes and livelihood of Barangay Alas-as.

DAY 1: IT’S ALL ABOUT FUN GOLF!

The golf tournament opened with fun activities and holes at the Club Intramuros Golf Course in Manila.

One activity was Mitchell & Ness’ Longest Putt. At holes three, 12, and 18, players were asked to putt while wearing a Mitchell & Ness jersey. The longest putt in each hole was announced the winner.

Another activity was in hole 6, where players were required to wear Stance socks while teeing off. Unfortunately, due to the field conditions, players had to keep their shoes on but the player nearest to the pin was still awarded.
