The Aqua Fortis Dragon Boat team was able to score two medals at the 2019 Kaohsiung City Cup International Dragon Boat Championship that took place last November 8 to 10. The Filipino paddlers, composed of a mix of men and women paddlers, won the gold medal in the DB22 Traditional Open Standard 500m while they bagged the silver medal in the DB22 Traditional Mixed Standard 200m.

After winning the competition, Phercie, better known as Chie to friends and colleagues, could not hide her pride and joy for her team, "Aside from paddling in an international event to represent our country, I am more proud of the moment that I became part of this amazing journey for my teammates, especially those newbies who competed in an international event for the first time and went back home as winners."
