Primer Group of Companies actively engages in building a better Asia.
Last August 16 to 17, 2018, President and Chief Executive Officer Jimmy Thai participated in the Singapore Management University (SMU) International Advisory Council (IAC)’s Asia Summit titled “ASEAN & China: Intelligent Integration and Sustainability” in Singapore, where more than 30 IAC members from China, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines discussed on opportunities to create value within and across industries and societies within the ASEAN communities.
Among these opportunities are the consistent investment in technology, new markets that have opened through cross-border trade, countries’ digital infrastructure, and the focus on sustainability.
SMU faculty imparted their knowledge and research on the abovementioned areas, and shared the potential ways to address multiple challenges facing the region.
The biennial event was attended by more than 30 IAC members from six countries, along with SMU Board of Trustees, senior management and faculty, as well as guests of IAC members and select SMU alumni.
The next IAC events in 2018 will be held in Hanoi on October 18, Manila on November 8, Shanghai on November 30, and Yangon on December 4.
