The Business Development Manager drives business growth and expansion through strong partnership and linkages with multiple clients and stakeholders. S/He will actively seek out business opportunities that will boost revenue and set the company to achieve its overall ambition to be a propelling partner in the industrial products and services category.
Responsibilities
Business Development
- Develop the One Industrial marketing strategy focusing on brand recognition together with the Strategic Business Unit Head
- Build and expand the network and potential client pool showcasing current and future industrial products and services
- Enlist new partners and clients achieving business targets within a given period of time
Business Intelligence
- Develop appropriate understanding of all business services and products to be able to provide necessary recommendations to clients
- Leads the conduct of data-driven market analysis to identify current market standing and opportunities
- Reviews current company sales and marketing data and clients to be able to generate proposals for business expansion
Research & Strategy
- Establishes a comprehensive competitive analysis to build understanding of strengths and threats of business products and services
- Reviews and gathers data on market feedback, looking at current partners and clients and translates this information to innovative proposals
- Collects information and proposes innovation on marketing plans to be used during business presentations
Project Management
- Design project plans, reviewing timeline and outlining resources needed to bring proposed projects to completion.
- Analyze project costs, schedules, consumer response, risk analysis, and other factors.
- Creates reports and progress updates for presentation to the project teams, clients and managements
Other Management Tasks
- Ensures the implementation of standard procedures and policies in relation to business development work standards
- Makes recommendations on improvements of policies and processes in relation to business expansion and growth
- Ensures that the company allotted budget is effectively managed and optimized
- Performs other duties assigned from time to time
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Management, Business or any related course; Master’s Degree an advantage
- At least 5 years experience in Business Development, Project Management or equivalent, with 3 years in a managerial capacity
- Demonstrable experience of managing business expansion, sales and delivering successful outcomes
- Shows good knowledge on potential client pool listing and business partners
- Significant experience in a specialist role, operating with a high degree of autonomy within a regulated procedural context
