R.O.X. Awards the Top Winners of Where Have You Been Photo Contest |

June 26, 2010- As a call for everyone to get outside and explore the Philippines’countless picturesque and unchartered destinations, Southeast Asia’s biggest outdoor superstore, Recreational Outdoor eXchange (R.O.X.) launched a photo contest open to all adventurers, weekend warriors and photography enthusiasts alike to submit travel photos featuring unique local destinations in its most charming panorama. This project was supported by Eagle Creek bags, High Sierra, Design Go, Sea Air, Canon, Manila Bulletin, Crusing Magazine, TraveLife Magazine, Jam 88.3, Roam Magazine & Juan Magazine.With the contest running from March 25 – May 26, 2010, R.O.X. received an overwhelming response of over 200 entries. A good bulk of 40 finalists emerged from the initial judging phase and the 5 most outstanding entries were chosen after a careful deliberation from our esteemed panel of judges. This contest was given considerable time and attention by our commissioned judges, we thank; Mr. Raoul Floresca, Creative Director of the Primer Group of Companies, Mr. Dexter De Vera, Creative Director for TraveLife Magazine and Mr. JayR Romero, Marketing Supervisor of Canon Philippines . With the massive reception it received, R.O.X. also gave out Five (5) thematic awards; Best Beach, Festival, Sunset, Action/ Funniest and Romantic photo all voted by the R.O.X. Philippines Facebook followers.

The top 3 winners were awarded Vacation packages for two in Batanes, Boracay and Romblon for the first, second and third placers respectively. The 4th placer and 5th placers were awarded with Php 13,000 worth of travel products. All 40 finalists including the top five winners were also given event shirts and a framed copy of their work. An exhibit of the top 40 photos commencing on June 25, 2010 will run for a month in R.O.X. Bonifacio High Street. The exhibit is also set to run in R.O.X. Cebu and Marquee Mall on a later date. R.O.X. – the biggest Outdoor Superstore in Southeast Asia is owned and operated by the Primer Group of Companies.
