A Young Designer’s Take on Minimalism
Ziggy Savella Pairs Tretorn with His Holiday 2010 Collection

The Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2010 held from May 26 to June 2 marked Ziggy Savella’s third appearance among the country’s top and up and coming designers with his ready-to-wear collection. On the evening of May 27 at 6:30 PM at the SMX Convention Center Function Room 2 and 3, Savella took part in the Ready-to-Wear collection, featuring this young designer’s take on casual and class. In hues soothing to the tasteful and critical eye, Ziggy Savella’s models donned carefully cut pieces of shades khaki, navy blue, and grey. Savella’s use of earth tones and calm blues and purples made for a perfectly blended collection exuding comfort and cool.

Compeleting the clean, minimalist look of Savella’s collection are pairs from top rubber shoe manufacturer Tretorn. Tretorn has surpassed many brands in its over a century history, proving to be a continuous leader in both in trend and durability. Tretorn, known for its understated yet stylish look complemented Savella’s designs beautifully. Spotted on the runway were the Krona Linen and Smögen Suede, Tretorn’s take on the classic boat shoe.

Proving true to its concept of design, Tretorn was also the perfect partner for Savella’s fashionable yet very practical and wearable pieces. The Skymra Canvas, a street sneaker with striking details matched Savella’s muted tones perfectly. Tretorn’s Strala Sommar, a slip-on rubber ankle boot, was another one of Savella’s picks—further defining his designs as sensible and ideal in contemporary Philippine fashion.

Tretorn is exclusively distributed in the Philippines by the Primer Group of Companies available at the country’s top shopping destinations.
